It’s been roughly two months since my last book update, but in that time there have been a few updates — decently major ones at that — that have come up with to share with you all.
First and foremost, I’ve been working with my publisher, Eat Your Serial Press in an effort to get some cover art ready for the book itself. Brandon of EYS has been fantastic throughout the process of getting the book ready for publishing. He recently provided me with four concept art images for the book itself. You can scroll through the images below. Keep in mind that these are still early stage designs, but it’s really exciting regardless.
As you can see, the title of the book will be An Epilogue to Innocence. I realize I hadn’t shared the title of the book prior to this post, and that was partly because I couldn’t come up with a good title. An Epilogue to Innocence was actually the working title that I used when sending the file out to the second group of peer reviewers who reviewed the book, but over the course of the next three or four months after that point, I couldn’t come up with a title that I consistently liked better than the one I ended up sticking with.
As for the cover art, remember that the images above are concept art and very well may change (and likely will) before the book releases. While I don’t have a hard date on that yet, I did submit a headshot, author bio, and book synopsis recently, so my thoughts are that the publishing date is drawing even closer. Now I just have to write a thank you page to everyone that’s helped me out throughout this process…that may take some time though because there have been a lot of you.
If you’re interested in helping me out with any of them items I mentioned in the last update (guest posts, promotion, reviews, etc.) and you haven’t already expressed your interest, please let me know. I’m keeping track of everyone who has offered to help and will be reaching out to all of you when that time comes. Thanks again to everyone for their help and patience as I’ve gone through this process. Additionally, if you have thoughts on the concept cover art, the title, or anything else, feel free to share in the comments.
