It’s been five months now since my last book update. Admittedly, I wish I had a good reason as to why it’s been that long, however it’s nothing more than the fact that things have been moving significantly slower than expected. I went from mid-September until earlier this week with very minimal updates. It was getting frustrating, especially because it’s a process I’ve been doing my best to be very patient with.

With that said, I do finally have an update to share related to the book, even though it is a small one. This week, my book will be undergoing the digital proof process at some point later this week and will be going through the physical book proof process shortly thereafter. As soon as those two steps are done, I’ll have more information for all of you readers — however many of you may still be left — with more of a timeline regarding release, marketing, and what not.

One other minor update I’d like to share:

In my last post, I talked about the idea of potentially doing a vlog series. Here in the near future, Cherie of Modern Yet Nostalgic and I will be doing a vlog series similar to the one I laid out in my previous post. Stop by Cherie’s blog and say hi if you’d like. I’ll be sharing the videos here on my blog, as well as via the YouTube channel we’ll be creating as well. We’ll see how it goes, but I’m pretty excited.

  1. Good luck with the vlogging project! Seems like blogs are dying out and vlogging is the way to go. Sorry to hear the book is taking longer than expected, but any progress at all is awesome!

    • I’m excited for it. I actually got more good news about the book today, but it’s not major enough to really bother writing a whole new post on.

  2. Laidig's Broadway

Oo, good luck sir, on both counts! I actually considered vlogging of some kind about a year ago, but I didn’t really have a justification for it. That and my accent’s a bit wild, and I’m very over the whole “you don’t sound Scottish” line. Being repeatedly told you sound American (“or Canadian?”) gets old pretty quickly – I mean it was almost 20 years ago that I was living there, caman 🙁

    • If you ever want to, you could always be a guest person for me. Just to put the offer out there if you wish to take it at some point in the future.

      • Laidig's Broadway

I’ma hold onto that offer like a…um…like a thing I really want to keep a hold of. More than happy to be a part of the brainstorming in the mean time 🙂

        • Well I certainly appreciate that. You should come over to the vlog I’m running on YouTube. I get the feeling I might end up being over there more often than blogging here (though we’ll see). I’d love to get your thoughts on some of the vlogs I plan on doing over there.

  3. […] In my last post, I mentioned that I would be starting a vlog series with Cherie of Modern Yet Nostalgic. Today we released our first video, wherein I introduce the series and what we plan to do in the series. Apologies for the potato quality of the video…and if my wife is watching this, sorry I was in your spot on the couch. It was comfy and the only place I could find that wasn’t terribly backlit. […]
